Western Suburbs Cricket Club has a proud history in developing its’ junior cricketers . The Plovers’ junior cricket base covers the local suburbs of Rutherford, Telarah, Aberglasslyn, Oakhampton – but it also stretches into Lochinvar, Greta and into central Maitland. This nursery of talent has produced some of the finest local players over a long period – including names such as Steve Atkins, Peter Edmonds, Anthony Ellicott, Steve Barnett, Darren Herbert, Terry & Neil Crittenden and modern day names such as Andrew Kealy, Aaron Mahony, Mitchell Fisher and Andrew Trappel.
